MatchMeAMovie can tell you when a film or show you're waiting for is in cinemas, can be watched at home, comes to your services, or is free. Movie Night can also remind you about the night itself.

Choosing what to hear about

Open any film or show's More info card and press Set up notifications for this film (or show) at the bottom. Tick what you want to hear about. You'll see everything you're waiting for under Notifications on Preferences, where you can remove any of them, or switch them all off.

Email or notifications

Notifications come by email until you turn them on for a device. Each phone and computer is turned on separately.

• On the More info card, press Send notifications to this device instead.
• Or on Movie Night, under Reminders, press Turn on notifications for this device.

When your browser asks, choose Allow.

On an iPhone or iPad

iPhones only show notifications from sites added to the Home Screen:

1. In Safari, tap Share (the square with an arrow), then Add to Home Screen, then Add.
2. Close Safari and open MatchMeAMovie from your Home Screen.
3. Turn notifications on from there, and choose Allow.

Still nothing? Open the iPhone's Settings, tap Notifications, then MatchMeAMovie, and switch on Allow Notifications.

On Android

Open matchmeamovie.com in Chrome and turn notifications on. If you blocked them by mistake:

• Chrome: tap the icon left of the web address, then Permissions › Notifications, and switch it on.
• Samsung Internet: ☰ › Settings › Sites and downloads › Site permissions › Notifications, and switch on matchmeamovie.com.
• Firefox: tap the padlock left of the web address and set Notifications to Allowed.
• Added MatchMeAMovie to your home screen? Press and hold its icon, tap App info, then Notifications, and switch them on.

On a computer

Click the icon left of the web address and set Notifications to Allow, then reload the page. In Safari on a Mac: Safari › Settings › Websites › Notifications, and set matchmeamovie.com to Allow.

Still nothing? Your computer may be holding them back: on Windows, Settings › System › Notifications; on a Mac, System Settings › Notifications. Make sure your browser is allowed.

Notifications are per device. Turned them on for your computer? Do the same on your phone to get them there too.
